Now a brilliant and fun opportunity has arisen for a Business Developer where you will be responsible for finding and developing clients and projects for Avanade Norway. You will be responsible for building revenue streams, prospecting, acquiring, developing, and expanding business leads to achieve short- and long-term revenue and profit growth.
We are after all the #1 Microsoft partner globally, so having specific solution selling skills on some of the Avanade offerings, such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM, Analytics & AI, and Azure solutions is considered an advantage.
Day to day your areas of responsibilities will be
- Having ownership over your territory and clients including i.e Account Management, Account Planning, Relationship and network building, Industry insight and competitive landscape in order to succeed.
- Apply and leverage the Avanade Sales Process, Solution Selling and Account Management practices
- Maintain a proficient understanding of Avanade offerings, Microsoft and Accenture solutions, and the overall landscape of solutions our customers are using.
- Impacting the success of meeting our company revenue goals and strategic direction leveraging strategic partners like Microsoft and Accenture
- Meet with potential clients and develop strong customer relationships among decision makers with strong focus driving acquisition of new customers
- Support local marketing programs for brand development, market awareness, market positioning, and demand generation.
- Continuously manage customer satisfaction and follow through on opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
You are a self-starter who thrives in a complex consulting environment working with sophisticated technology solutions. You work with high energy, drive, and commitment to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals. You take ownership and inspire others and make a positive impact.
You are someone with exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and someone who can build relationships with colleagues, clients, and others at any level inside and outside your organization. You have the ability to grasp and articulate both big-picture vision as well as the tactical steps needed to get there.
You likely have seven or more years of experience from a similar role within business development. You know the partners, the competitive landscape and the main decision makers in the ecosystem within IT Norway and you have strong communication skills including presenting on general and industry-specific topics.
Your background and skills likely include:
- Deep experience from providing and selling complex IT services. You know and can recognize the demand at the clients; and you are a subject matter expert in building new business and trusted relationships
- Motivated by opening new clients and grow market share.
- Have a solid background in sales and gaining client confidence as a trusted advisor.
- Ability to engender client empathy and trust.
- Strategic account planning skills.
- Ability to leverage network of inside and outside contacts to increase influence.
- Selling outsourcing/managed service deals or other large-scale engagements that include significant offshore delivery.
- Previewing, identifying, and providing fast, effective solutions to unforeseen circumstances.
- Ability to adopt new skills and abilities as needed.
- Shaping and positioning business outcome-oriented propositions.
