Student assistant (m/f/div): Camera Calibration for 3D Body Scanning
The Optics and Sensing Laboratory at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen is looking for a student assistant to support their research activities in using depth sensing technology for precise reconstruction of dense 3D human body shapes. This work has applications in computer vision and medicalresearch. It aims to provide an extensive comparison between several depth sensors used in 3D human scanning applications by analyzing synchronization and calibration abilities of these sensors and their interference with each other as well as their integration with other equipment such as high-res cameras and lights.
About us
We are supporting the development of highly realistic human and animal avatars for use in research, film, virtual reality, biology and medicine. Using unique 3D & 4D capture facilities, machine learning, computer vision and advanced graphics, we are modeling humans and animals shape and behavior.
