Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse or License Practical Nurse;
- Graduate degree considered an asset.
- Minimum five-years recent related work experience in a clinical setting and demonstrated competence in the occupational/subject area;
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta or the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta;
- Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality educational programs;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Willingness to travel;
- Online teaching experience is preferred.
Successful candidate must provide a Criminal Record Check and valid class 5 drivers license to Human Resources prior to commencement.

Position Description
Title: Coordinator, Health Programs
Major Job Function:
This position is primarily coordination of the Practical Nurse program. This may include assisting with coordinating placement requests through HSPnet, as well as the mentoring of faculty and supervision of students during all clinical practicum courses. The incumbent assumes responsibility for the following:
- Facilitating department communications and working as a member of the team
- Communicating and advocating for staff and faculty needs and concerns
- Fostering teaching excellence through mentoring and support of programs, staff and faculty
- Coordinating program clinical activities
- Facilitate the performance management of students
Duties and Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate on and off-site activities:
- co-ordinate program clinical schedules and assist with general program scheduling
- provide guidance, where applicable, to college administrative support staff
- ensure course evaluations are completed
- ensure that appropriate forms are used for applications, withdrawals and registrations
- ensure that schedules and deadlines are followed
- maintain contact list
- prepare internal college documents and submit reports as requested
- participate in discussions on priorities for budget, personnel, equipment, supplies and resources
- update program sections of calendar and program offering plans
- participate in discussions on curriculum review
- participate in accreditation activities
- other duties as assigned
Contribute to College:
- attend and participate in regular staff meetings, NLC general meetings, and other scheduled meetings as appropriate, e.g. HSPnet, Provincial Committees

The Coordinator, Health Programs is evaluated on the ability to exercise problem solving skills on a daily basis and their contribution to the operation of the programs within the department. The Coordinator is responsible for the following:

Qualifications:
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Health-related degree or Masters.
- Minimum two-years recent related work experience in clinical setting and demonstrated competence in the occupational/subject area.
- Registration with College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta or College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta
- Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality educational programs.
