Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates technical thought leadership within and outside of GE.
- Guides multi-generational technology strategies based on understanding of the market, customer needs, competitors, advances in technologies and regulatory requirements/standards.
- Leads the intellectual property development for a technology or product area based on understanding of GE and competitive technologies.
- Seeking and executing of public research projects & external funding opportunities
- Standardisation, technical design reviews and quality culture.
- Works with internal and external organisations (vendors, research organisations, universities etc) to develop technical differentiation for the future.
- Teaches, coaches, and mentors less experienced engineers.
- Hands-on development and testing of technology for physiological sensing.
- Support for product development teams and factory/field problem solving.
- Working with hospital customers for technology testing and product troubleshooting.
- Models GE HealthCare leadership behaviours in their personal leadership style, behaviour, and team activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD level education in electrical engineering, medical technology, physics, signal processing or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in the Engineering/Technology related to physiological sensing.
