About the Role
*This is a Fixed Term Position until 30th June 2025*
The Communications and Engagement Adviser is accountable for supporting the development and delivery of stakeholder communications and engagement plans for the transport reform portfolio within the Strategic Portfolio and Communications and Engagement branch.
They will have a strong risk and mitigation antennae, bags of initiative, ability to think strategically as well as operationally, excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to adapt in a busy and complex environment. This will support more senior colleagues to help engage stakeholders on these plans.

Key Selection Criteria – DTP is seeking an experienced Communications Professional with a background in stakeholder relations and community engagement. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication plans is essential. The suitable candidate will be skilled in identifying and addressing reputational and communications issues, while proactively managing risks. Strong project management capabilities to handle competing priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment and excellent written skills, particularly in crafting content subject to public scrutiny is vital.
