eniferBio is entering the next stage in their growth story and is looking for a Head of Plant Engineering
EniferBio is a modern biotech company with a history. In 2020, a group of VTT scientists turned entrepreneurs and started a mission to re-establish PEKILO® mycoprotein production. In the global battle against climate change, we have been improving the product by creating a new high-protein PEKILO® P65 product to compete in the high-value protein concentrate and isolate markets in animal nutrition. In spring 2022 we also announced a partnership aiming to bring PEKILO® protein directly to the dinner table as a nutritional and mild taste new source of protein for the booming space of plant-based food products!
Would you be our new Head of Plant Engineering?
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the growth story of eniferBio and join its increasing community of professionals. Were currently seeking a Head of Plant Engineering to lead, oversee, and coordinate the construction project of our first industrial scale PEKILO® fermentation plant and in the future, our other investment projects globally. Your main task would be focusing on the comprehensive project coordination and management, and you will operate in close collaboration with the assigned engineering company, contractors, and subcontractors as well as with equipment manufacturers and licensing authorities regarding the required permits. Overseeing equipment installations and supervising the commissioning of the plant will also be included in your responsibilities. With your expertise and ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously, you will ensure smooth plant project delivery. You will have the opportunity to build a small team of experts to support you in the areas you deem important.
This is a permanent full-time position. The office of eniferBio is located in Espoo and the fermentation plant will be located in the Uusimaa area. You will have the opportunity to work partially remotely and this role might occasionally take you abroad too.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a person who has previous experience with similar large-scale investment and building projects and has a comprehensive understanding of the steps involved. A matching project background in forest, food or bioindustries would be especially relevant. To succeed in this role, you need excellent project management skills, including the ability to oversee both budgeting and scheduling. You also have in-depth knowledge of the required permit procedures (building, environmental etc.) from various authorities. Working in an international environment, you will need fluent spoken and written English language skills, Finnish language skills are an advantage.
As a person you are an organized, proactive and flexible project manager who can figure out and handle large and complex entities. You adapt swiftly to changing situations and efficient problem solving is one of your key strengths. You are at home in a dynamic working environment and your strong interpersonal skills guarantee smooth collaboration with all stakeholders.
