500 + DD & IT Internal Associates supporting 1500+ Applications! Under DD&IT Architecture, Platform & Data teams works together for end-to-end software application life cycle, from development and test through deployment to operations.
As the combined Architecture, Platform & Data (APD), our mission is to accelerate Novartis growth by co-creating future-ready data and platform solutions across the enterprise.
We are looking for a new colleague within our APD Operational Excellence & Planning team, who will be working closely with and supporting the various APD teams spread across multiple locations, involved in project and/or program delivery.
In this role you will be part of the team ensuring that APD portfolio gets delivered within the agreed targets and in adherence with the DD&IT portfolio management standards and practices.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

In this role you will be part of the team ensuring that APD portfolio gets delivered within the agreed targets and in adherence with the DD&IT portfolio management standards and practices.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communicates DD&IT Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) standards and Ways of Working
- Enforce enterprise portfolio management process across teams and monitor the adherence to those
- Provides portfolio management insights and data to APD leadership & business leaders as required
- Leads (and contributes as applicable) the APD PM Community of Practice
- Finds opportunities for process & product improvement
- Acts as Function SME in new feature testing & solution validation related to portfolio management
- Manages functional demand pipeline and supports Functional Heads on business portfolio governance model & related approval boards
- Oversees APD portfolio management data in SNOW to ensure delivery within the budget and completion of the monthly closure activities (e.g.: projects Cost Plans & Status reporting)

- University level degree in IT
- Overall 10 years of industry-relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio or budget management
- Demonstrated experience working within large and/or diverse multi-functional teams and influencing without authority
- Very good problem solving and prioritization skills
- Very good knowledge of Project Management, Financial Management and Process Improvement
- Very good data analysis and presentation skills
- Personal attributes: works independently, ability to work in a matrix environment, attention to detail, curiosity and agility – paired with accuracy and reliability, very good business leader management skills (including senior Leaders)
- Proficiency in English (oral & written)
Nice to have:
- Prior portfolio management experience in DD&IT
- Experience working with SNOW and Qlik Sense Dashboards
- Proven data reporting skills across various levels of Management / Leaders
- PM and / or ITIL certification
- Very good Ms Excel skills
- Pharma industry work experience
